The Story

A toast to love, music, and the Italian soul.

2025 marks a special year for Enzo Ghinazzi — Pupo:
70 years of life, 50 years of career, and a new chapter written not in notes, but in wine. For half a century, Pupo has sung about love — not the perfect one, but the real one: tender, complicated, eternal. Each song was a story, a confession, a piece of his soul. “Every woman who ever loved me gave me a story — and I turned it into a song.

Now that music lives in Cantina Pupo.” — Pupo Born in Tuscany and beloved far beyond Italy, Pupo has spent decades singing for audiences around the world. His melodies have become part of Italy’s emotional landscape and  people’s memories.

Now, through Cantina Pupo, he transforms those emotions into wine — an invitation to feel, to share, to celebrate… Because love deserves a toast!

Cantina Pupo

Enzo Ghinazzi, known to the world as Pupo, was born in 1955 in Ponticino, Tuscany — the son of a mailman and a mother with a passion for music and theatre.

He debuted in 1975 with Ti scriverò and soon rose to fame with albums like Come sei bella (1976) and Gelato al cioccolato (1979), whose unforgettable singles Ciao and Gelato al cioccolato became instant Italian classics. His breakthrough came in 1980 at the Sanremo Festival with Su di noi, followed by timeless hits such as Firenze Santa Maria Novella.

A gifted songwriter, Pupo also wrote Sarà perché ti amo for Ricchi e Poveri, one of the most beloved Italian pop songs of all time. Over nearly five decades, he has released dozens of albums, earned multiple gold records, and performed on stages across Europe and beyond.

Beyond music, Pupo became a familiar face on Italian television, hosted prime-time RAI shows, and lent his voice to animated films. He is also the author of two autobiographies and a novel — a multifaceted artist, loved across generations for his authenticity, warmth, and emotional truth.
